Smoked Chipotle BBQ Sauce

1 medium Onion, chopped
4-5 Garlic cloves
1 tablespoon Cumin
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
2 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
3 tablespoon Mustard
1 bottle Ketchup, 24 oz
4-5 Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce
Salt, Pepper to taste
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Preheat vegetable oil in the medium size pan on medium-high. Saute onion and garlic for 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and cumin. Turn the heat down and add brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, ketchup, chipotle peppers.  Cook it all together on low heat for 5-7 minutes.
Take it off the heat and using a hand blender, blend it all together until onion and chipotle peppers are pureed. Put it back on low heat and cook it for another 20 minutes.

Makes about 40 oz.

*Spicy and Smoky Flavors in this BBQ Sauce. Use it on chicken, pork, sandwiches, pizza....

*This has been my star dish at my annual 4th of July Party for the last few years :)
